Isa. 40:3-5 Prepare ye, the way of the Lord. Our minis and kitties allow us great opportunities in sharing the gospel to the community around us.

From the moment a horse or any animal is brought on the scene, tender moments will surely occur. To any person who has not known God’s love, an animal becomes a confidant, a thing to nurture and a friend. The human/animal bond provides an experience of love, companionship, intimacy, and a sense of self worth. When people feel depressed, withdrawn and unwanted, they long for a sense of connection – a personal bond with another living thing. For many, a connection to a peer is threatening, so an animal is a logical answer. Lessons learned from animals become a stepping stone for human connection. Nurturing an animal and receiving back unconditional attention and love re-establishes the worth of a person. One thing remains true, whether a dog, cat, or horse, a pet will always remain a faithful, intimate, non-competitive friend regardless how bad the situation is.

I believe I loved animals from the day I was born, for such a time as this. From a very young age I learned from my cocker spaniel, Sugar, that when we hurt, they hurt, and they understand when no one else does. At ten years old I fell in love with a pony, Baroness, on whom I was taking riding lessons. We won first place together in my first horse show. For the first time in my life I felt like a winner and gained the approval of others. Now 40 years later, through the most difficult times in my life and seasons of change, I wouldn’t have made it without my animals by my side! They loved me and never left me.

Fact: People are dying to be loved. They crave intimacy and acceptance. People are drawn to animals because of their unconditional love.

Truth: Do you know you are loved? Jesus’ love is unconditional. Do you know you have purpose? God has a plan for you. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, His unconditional love and anointing will fill that void. Love never fails and is the greatest witnessing tool.
